Features & Package

From Cooler Master:

"Fortified with uncompromising tactical performance and superior in-hand ergonomics, the Sentinel Advance gaming mouse was developed within the CM Storm Labs with the pure intent to empower up and coming talent with the hardware that the best e-sport pros demand. Fully equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology, the Sentinel Advance is armed with a Doppler Effect twin-laser sensor, which enables lag-free play, doubles the precision, and has a maxed-out 5600 DPI resolution. To top it off the Sentinel Advance is completely built with unprecedented tactical controls like: customizable lighting effects, OLED management, adjustable weight system, on-the-fly swappable gaming profiles and an intelligent encoding engine to perform complex scripts and macros. Best of all the Sentinel Advance gaming mouse is LAN-party friendly and theft proof with the patented security of StormGuard?. Enhanced and engineered for triumphant victory, the CM Storm Sentinel Advance is your weapon of choice."

Below are the features and specifications:

  • 5600 DPI Storm Tactical Twin laser sensor
  • 64KB Sentinel-X Memory
  • OLED DPI Management Systems
  • OLED Team Logo Personalization
  • Customized Profile Lighting Effects
  • 8 Programmable Buttons

  • 1mm Lift-off Distance
  • Right-hand ergonomic design
  • Gold-plated USB Connector
  • StormGuard Security System
  • 5 x 4.5g Adjustable Weight System
  • Full Speed USB

The Sentinel Advance is contained in a sleek black box with red accents, continuing the Cooler Master Storm theme we’ve been accustomed to seeing, and the front features a clear front panel which leaves the mouse inside fully visible.

Once inside the box, the package is very minimal; just the mouse and StormGuard (to protect your mouse from being stolen if your computer is unattended, say, at a LAN party), and that’s it. No installation disk or user’s manual; frankly, I figured they were missing. As I soon found out though, Cooler Master has everything you need available on their website, and to get started the Sentinel is entirely plug-and-play, so no worries about having a mouse in your hand that’s about as useful as a brick without any driver disk. You can just plug it in, and even configure it driverless, it just works from the get-go.
