Introduction

It’s time that we settle the debate once and for all. LED’s make your computer go faster. Don’t argue it. Don’t even question it. It’s just fact! The real mystery is which LED strip will make your computer the fastest. As easy as it is to convince the inexperienced of these sort of “truths,” the reality is PC builders want an LED strip that looks great while having the kind of quality that will help it last a long time. This is exactly what CABLEMOD is setting out to do with their LED Strips. With a wide variety of colors to choices between stick on or magnetic, CABLEMOD is bound to have something that will appeal to the lighting needs of your computer case. We’re going to take a look at what they have, but first, here’s a quick look at what CABLEMOD is trying to do.

Cables Perfected.

Made from premium materials and crafted with the utmost care, CableMod cables are engineered for more than just function; they are built to delight and inspire. By utilizing choice components, these cables are constructed without the use of unsightly heatshrink. Tweaked with input from the modding community and offered in a large selection of colors, CableMod cables can turn even the most ordinary systems into works of art.

Not much about LEDs there it seems. That’s okay because I found some more quotes explaining there choice to use WideBeam, as well as other details.

LED Strips Perfected.

CableMod brings the same care and attention to detail from our cables the world of LED lighting. We’ve rethought virtually every part of the LED strip – from the adhesive to the power connector, all the way to the LEDs themselves.

See why CableMod WideBeam LEDs are the superior PC lighting solution.

WideBeam™ Technology

cm_widebeamUtilizing a unique transparent LED housing, CableMod WideBeam LED’s deliver a much wider beam angle – over 50% greater than traditional LEDs. Bright and vibrant with a much more even lighting effect, WideBeam LEDs look different because they are different.

cm_dual_adhesiveDual Adhesive Options

With the number of different case materials out there, we didn’t think one solution would fit all. CableMod WideBeam LED Strips come in both magnetic and foam adhesive to suit all kinds of cases on the market.

The WideBeam Magnetic Series features multiple rare-earth magnets for a secure fit, and can be easily repositioned or moved to alternate builds. Those with aluminum or non-magnetic cases can choose the WideBeam Foam Series for a foam adhesive that is over 200% stronger than typical LED strips.

CableMod WideBeam LED Strips not only come in classic colors like red, blue, green, and white, but also in UV. These strips are also available in RGB, complete with convenient remote control and IR receiver which allow you to run a variety of colors and light modes.

cm_led_sataSATA Power Connector

Easier to connect and more secure, CableMod WideBeam LED Strips come with a SATA power connector, perfect for today’s power supplies that come with many more SATA connectors than the traditional 4 pin Molex.

cm_led_chainableFully Chainable

Have a large case and need more length? No problem – both the WideBeam Magnetic and WideBeam Foam Series are fully chainable, which means you can connect multiple LED strips together for an extra-long lighting solution.

cm_led_asus_auraASUS® AURA Compatible

CableMod RGB LED Strips come equipped with a special adapter that allows them to work perfectly with ASUS® motherboards that feature an RGB header, like the ROG Maximus VIII Formula.

So there you go. That’s a lot of reasons to go with CABLEMOD. You may be thinking that’s the whole review right there but don’t worry, it’s still only the intro!
