In a world where copy and paste is often a way of life, It is sometimes difficult to stand out in a crowd, to remember the uniqueness of something, or perhaps even figure out how to establish that uniqueness in the first place. The computer world is certainly no different, and a very crowded industry such as the computer case market, good and different ideas can be lost in a sea of "sameness". We’ve seen it throughout our extensive case reviews, but we do see the occasional diamond in the rough that stands out, and we think BitFenix is one of them.

With elegant designs and practical features that come with affordable price tags, BitFenix has been successfully expanding their product lineup to continue that trend. We’ve seen several of their cases, and we’ll admit we’re fans. Good design is one thing, but great bang for your buck is always something we love; hey, we’re consumers too at the end of the day.

The BitFenix Shinobi XL is a full tower case that appears to borrow the great ideas we saw on the Shinobi, while expanding them into a larger version, with a few tweaks. Mid-towers can only do so much for some people, and for those that need a full tower option, perhaps for a water cooling setup or expensive gear, the Shinobi XL looks to be a great option at first glance.

Let’s take a closer look and see if the XL can build upon its smaller Shinobi sibling.
