Smallform cases aren?t nearly as popular as mid or full tower cases; they have very specific restrictions and requirements for hardware and installation, and they do require some extra care and consideration in assembling components. This isn?t for everyone. But they do offer a great alternative if you have little space to work with on your desk, or particularly if you are a LAN partier. There?s nothing quite like grabbing your case in one hand and hustling out the door for a night of fragging, and showing up with a sleek case like the B-Envi that has touch-sensitive controls. NICE.
The Bgears B-Envi case is an opportunity to impress your friends and keep the package small. It has a more traditional smallform internal layout and design, and while there?s nothing spectacular in that department, it does have a couple features like the touch-sensitive controls and the bonus 2.5? HDD enclosure that sweeten the deal. The features are great, cooling is good, and the LED lights add a nice little something to the setup. It does have a couple of flaws, notably a few sharp edges and some very thin structural metal components, so handle with care because we don?t think it would survive much abuse.
The price of the B-Envi without windows is about $85, and $90 with windowed panels. For the extra $5 or so, we think the windowed case is definitely the way to go here. It’s money well spent if you want to impress at a LAN party, and why not? The price is quite reasonable for a good smallform case, especially one that offers touch-sensitive controls.
The Bgears B-Envi is quite simply a solid choice for a smallform case. It has something for everyone that is in the market for a case like this, sports a few unique features that sets it apart from the generic competitors, and comes in at a respectable price. If you?re shopping for a smallform case that takes up little space or handy to bring to your LAN parties, we recommend the Bgears B-Envi, give it a good look.
Our thanks go to BGears for providing the B-Envi for this review.
