The design and layout of the information on the box is quite impressive. The sleek black artwork and nicely contrasted colors really stands out.
On the front, we see this CPU cooler is ready for socket 2011. Clearly imprinted here is also the power handling of 220w TDP (Thermal Design Power).
At the rear of the package we find the detailed specifications of the cooler and the description is in-depth.
Once we removed the cooler from its package, we also found a brown box which has the installation hardware and manuals that you will need to get started. The cooler came packaged with care. It included white foam surrounding the cooler to keep it from being damaged during transport.
With the hardware package unpacked, we find a pretty extensive set of hardware for both AMD and Intel socket installation. We have to say that the hardware is nicely done with chrome finishing and the back plate was also very sturdy.
Let’s take a closer look at the Dark Rock Pro 2 CPU Cooler.
