Exterior

The exterior of the Titan 850 has a matte black finish that has a slightly textured feel and look to it. It’s nothing out of the ordinary and is finished well for what you’d expect of a unit in this price range. The rear of the casing has significant sized honey combed ventilation holes that will undoubtedly increase the overall performance and life span of the PSU itself in conjunction with the massive 140mm blue back lit fan.

The front of the unit is where we see all the power cables, not a whole lot of action going on here like most modular PSU’s. The power cables are colour-coded to eliminate some confusion the red connectors are the PCIe power for the video cards 2 x 6-pin and 2 x 6+2-pin the blue connectors are for the CPU power 4 and 8 pin. The rest are your typical 20+4 pin, Sata, Molex connectors, the cable lengths of the 20+4 pin and the 2X6+2 pin roughly 50cm or 20 inches. The SATA, Molex cables are much longer when completely stretched out they measure almost 100cm or 39 inches. On the last two sides of the Titan is a pair of stickers, one with the label for Titan 850 and one with the specifications of the unit.

Let’s open the Titan up and see what we have inside.
