The Spartan 101 looked fantastic with its subtle blue LED fans and front light accenting, not overwhelming the Spartan theme. I really began to appreciate AZZA’s stylish design concept. While I realize the Spartan 101’s styling wont appeal to everyone, I think it’s bold appearance and functional design will satisfy a lot of gamers and enthusiasts looking for something a little different while not putting a huge dent in the wallet.

On that note, perhaps the stronger selling point of the Spartan is its price. Selling for a mere $40 USD after rebate, you really can’t do much better than this for an entry-level case. Sure, it has a few things wanting, such as lack of cable management holes, but you really can’t expect a budget case to give you everything; concessions have to be made somewhere. But the concession here aren’t criticial to your build, nor will they create huge problems. So we can’t fault AZZA for what you get in return for what is a very attractive case at a very attractive price.

While the Spartan does have a few drawbacks, it offers a very nice case for people on a very tight budget. It’s not designed to compete with the heavyweights, so when you consider what you get for the price tag, it’s a great value and we can’t argue with that.
