Introduction

There certainly is a large selection of USB flash drives on the market today.  Small form and size, portability, larger storage capacities, and price decreases have made these little devices a modern mainstay, almost ubiquitous in fact.  Most people just keep one on a keychain, I do as well, to quickly satisfy that need for storage.  Keeping family photographs, business presentations, school reports, you name it; all fair game for the friendly USB flash drive.

So what’s to differentiate the models?  Quite simply, size does matter.  And so does price, features, and speed.  Pretty much your Big 4 factors that influence most computer technology these days.  ATP’s ToughDrive Camo is one model that is marketed as, well, being tough.  Who of you hasn’t dropped your flash drive, had your kid take a whack at it with his toy hammer, or bent it when removing it from the computer?  Come on, we’ve all had our share of mishaps.  Well, ATP’s ToughDrive Camo doesn’t promise to help avoid those instances, but it does promise to help keep your data safe when it happens.

Thank you to our friends at ATP for supplying the review sample.

Established in 1991, ATP has over 17 years of experience in the design, manufacture, and support of high performance, highest quality DRAM modules and NAND flash storage products. ATP focuses in mission critical applications such as industrial/automation, telecom, medical, and enterprise computing where high levels of technical support/expertise, consistency of performance, and manufacturing quality are required. A certified Eco/Green partner of tier one OEMs, all ATP products are fully RoHS and China RoHS compliant.

Let’s take a look at this ToughDrive Camo and see if it’s Humvee or Pinto.
