As multimedia technologies and uses become more prolific and part of our daily lives, consumers are looking for products that fill more than one role. Historically, computers have been for productivity uses or gaming, and as time trundled onward, PCs began to assume far more diverse roles. Perhaps the greatest change and increase of use is in the world of multimedia.

As multimedia uses and applications have blurred the lines between computer, TV, audio system, and so forth, we’ve seen more and more people turn to Home Theater PCs to specifically handle their multimedia needs. Interestingly, the all-purpose machine has, in this instance, become the specialized use system. Storing music, streaming video content – these are popular uses, the and the system needed for this type of use is far cheaper than the average desktop.

Building an HTPC system can be an expensive undertaking, but it doesn’t need to be. A small form motherboard with a low power processor, onboard video, and a hard drive is really all you need; that is, if you can find something that comes in an all-in-one package at a good price. Today we may have just the thing: the ASUS AT3IONT-I Deluxe.

Housing an Intel Atom 330 CPU already onboard, and coupled with Nvidia ION chipset, the AT3IONT-I Deluxe comes with a few other bells and whistles that looks awfully tempting for an HTPC setup. Let’s take a look at this integrated motherboard, graphics, and power supply solution from ASUS that strives to offer users a fuller and more affordable multimedia experience.

"ASUS, a technology-oriented company blessed with one of the world’s top R&D teams, is well known for high-quality and innovative technology. As a leading company in the new digital era, ASUS offers a complete product portfolio to compete in the new millennium. The philosophy of ASUS product development is to do the fundamentals well first before moving forward. Started with computer components such as motherboards, graphic cards, and optical storage devices, ASUS now has now over 16 product lines, including desktop barebone systems, servers, notebooks, handhelds, network devices, broadband communications, LCD monitors, TVs, wireless applications, and CPT (chassis, power supply and thermal) products."
