Antec Kuhler H20 650
WHAT WE LIKED:Dual Reservoir, excellent cooling solution, easy installation, built-in temperature indicator, low block clearance
WHAT WE DISLIKED:Bulky fan with pump
Overall, Antec did an exceptional job at constructing the Kuhler H20 650. The hose and seals are solid with the flexibility allowing to be mounted in any position and virtually anywhere in your case (depending on length). The included fan isn’t removable, and this could cause issues if the fan dies as the pump is secured to the backside; however, utilizing the dual reservoirs really increased the cooling performance and out-performed the ThermalTake 2.0 Pro which was in push/pull configuration.
Installation was extremely easy having the retention ring lock into place while the backplate was universal for both AMD/Intel. We also have the option of using the stock backplate that comes with the motherboard. The one thing that I’d like to see come with the cooler is software to configure in different modes for general use or hard core gaming.
At the time of the review, the Antec Kuhler was found on newegg.com for $69.99 and comes with a manufacturers 3 year warranty. The price is pretty much on par with other manufacturer’s similar systems, so that’s a plus. I’m happily awarding the Antec Kuhler H20 650 our PureOverclock Editor’s Choice Award.
