When it comes to building a PC, the general trend that we see is the powerhouse setup. Most want the latest and greatest systems, and for many different reasons whether its gaming, transcoding or just built as a sheer all-purpose workhorse. However, there is a new trend starting to emerge that is taking the simple and straightforward approach; a system that allows users to check e-mail, browse, play some music, chatting, maybe watch the odd movie, and do some homework. Essentially, it’s a small, affordable, and basic computer setup. Nothing fancy, nothing big, nothing too expensive.

As a a result, the mATX and ITX form factors are becoming more popular these days, and so is the need for a compact solution to house them. Antec has taken a good look at the emerging market and just may have delivered such a solution. Today we will be looking at the Antec ISK 100, a tiny chassis for the ITX motherboard market. There isn’t much choice out there in this market, but Antec may have a winner on their hands with the ISK 100 from what we’ve seen.

If you’re looking for some bling or something you can use for mass storage this won’t be for you, however if you’re looking for a compact chassis that will work with a minimalistic footprint then read on.
