Overview

Hardware:

Manufacturer:

Price at time of Review: $59.99

WHAT WE LIKED:

Low price point, many cooling options, integrated fan controller, flat side panel that's begging for a window.

WHAT WE DISLIKED:

Front plastic feels cheap, audio cable too short, tight spacing on backside of motherboard tray, who still uses knockout plates on 5.25" bays?

BOTTOM LINE:
If you're looking for an inexpensive case that's got cool features and unique looks then definitely check out the Antec GX 700.

Introduction

Antec is one of the big names in the PC case market, with award-winning cases from the “hundred” and Sonata series to their line of HTPC cases and the like. Antec just added a newcomer to their gaming case lineup in the form of the GX series. Right now, the only model is the GX 700 which we’ll be looking at today. The GX 700 offers a low price point of just $59.99 (although can be found for less) and is packed with features.

But how many features can be included for this low of a price? Let’s find out, shall we?

About the GX 700:

“Meet the GX700. Builders can now assemble and expand faster with tool-less drive bays and customizable HDD trays. Antec’s boldly designed gaming enclosure features metal clasps and rugged drive bay covers. This solid case accommodates GPUs up to 11.5″ and integrates a unique flip access fan controller situated next to easy access USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectors. Users can cool their systems with two 140 mm top fans capable of mounting 240 cooling radiators and easily upgrade with the enclosure’s five 3.5″ tool-less HDD trays, each with SSD/HDD mounts. Bring your system to the next level, the GX700 is ready for your countless victories.” – Antec

I have been looking at this case for some time and every time I look at it I say it definitely is a case for my son and I. We were really big fans of the older MOH and BF games and it would be cool to have cases themed after those games. Definitely a case that is always on my mind when looking to purchase something in the future.
