Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra 2.1 Speakers
When manufacturers come out with a new processor or graphics card, people flock to their favorite online retailer to be able to test out the newest innovations in the tech world. But, for some reason, not many people seems to do the same when it comes to the audio that is coming from this new system. We often look at the effect that a sound card can have on a system, but what about the actual audio coming out, the speakers?
How many of you out there reading this are still using those old speakers that came with a computer you got a Christmas time back before dual core processors came out? Come on people, what is the point in running the newest processors and graphics cards on the market to make our games and movies look and run better, and then having to hear the crackle of speakers well past their prime?
Today we are going to take a look at the Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra 2.1 speakers that feature a very unique aesthetic design. They certainly look sleek, but audio performance is what really makes a setup special. Do these speakers have what it takes? Let’s find out.

Altec Lansing is all about great sound. Woodstock. Carnegie Hall. The Beatles? Abbey Road Studios. All invested in our systems. New concert venues and studios do, too. But today, Altec Lansing is also known for innovating in more personal spaces. We created the original desktop PC speakers as well as the first audio dock for iPod. And our latest systems feature bold new acoustic designs for listening on the go, watching movies, and gaming. After more than 70 years dedicated to advancing the technologies of sound, we know how to deliver exceptional listening experiences. The proof is in every speaker we make.
