Thinking of building your own high performance gaming rig? Or maybe just looking to upgrade your current chassis? Either way, you’ll need a new case. And whether you are on a tight budget or you want the very best case around you will still have a good number of things to consider before you are able to finally settle on the right chassis for your build.
Looks will only get you so far. And yes, contrary to popular belief, size does matter. Cases. We’re talking cases here. So you’ll need a case that will house all of your components and hopefully have room for future upgrades. The number of drive bays to accommodate your optical drives, controllers, and other toys must be considered. What about motherboard compatibility, will you need a case that will accept the Flex-ATX board or will your needs be limited to the ATX form factor? Top-mount or bottom-mount power supply? And let’s not forget about cooling; are going with water cooling or air cooling for the new rig? Lastly our budget; if we can find the perfect chassis to fill all our wants and needs and find it at a great price we will have some extra cash for a possible upgrade of another component. Needless to say, the choices abound.
Today we are going to take a closer look at gaming case from AeroCool. It is the latest chassis in their Value Added Series, and it is called the VS-9. It features some stealthy styling and excellent airflow, so let’s dive right in and see how it fares.?
