ADATA XPG SX900 128GB
Specifications and Package
From ADATA: "The XPG (Xtreme Performance Gear) SX900 solid state drive is an expanded capacity SSD which uses new optimized firmware to utilize greater storage capacity of the NAND Flash components. With superior NAND Flash, the XPG SX900 SSD reaches new levels of stability and performance. The drive breaks new ground in storage capacity for SSDs utilizing the SandForce 2281 controller, reaching 512GB, a 7% increase over common SSDs in the market that use a SandForce controller. This represents a milestone in ADATAs history of NAND Flash based products."

The box of the ADATA XPG SX900 128GB SSD is a small black and blue box with ADATA’s signature colourful Hummingbird logo graphic off to the left. The front of the box identifies the main features of the drive, while mentioning this particular model is the Desktop Pack, which includes a 3.5" to 2.5" conversion bracket for the SSD to fit into hard drive cages. There’s also a small clear plastic window that shows the SSD itself. Lastly, included is a free download for Acronis True Image software to allow you to clone a drive onto the SX900, which is extremely handy if you don’t want to reinstall everything from scratch.
Inside the box the drive is a Quick Start Guide, along with the drive conversion bracket as mentioned (with screws), and a small pamphlet that explains the necessary information about how to download the Acronis software. This Desktop Pack includes a serial key that will be needed to activate the utility. The inclusion of a premium disk migration utility and adapter bracket with this drive is one of the best we’ve seen to date in terms of added value.
Let’s take a closer look at the drive itself.
