Introduction

We’ve seen SandForce-based solid state drives become very popular over the last while, and prices continue to drop. The latest SF-2281 controller has proven to be a performance monster, and offering excellent value for consumers with well-priced options in the 120GB market.

There’s something new about that number now, however. ADATA’s latest SSD, the XPG SX900, does sport the same SF-2281 controller, but it also comes with a full 128GB capacity rather than the typical 120GB we see. In fact, it’s the only one out there with this capacity for this controller. And coming with a price tag of only $160, that’s a combination that certainly got our interest in a hurry.

So the question becomes: is the performance good enough for the price? Or do you get what you pay for in a bargain? We’re as anxious to tell you, as you are to find out. So let’s jump in and see how the ADATA XPG SX900 performs.

Founded in 2001, ADATA Technology is committed to providing top-notch memory solutions that enrich the customer’s digital life. The company’s dedication to integrity and professionalism has made ADATA the leading memory brand with the most award-winning product designs.
