Introduction

For some reason, we can’t help but notice that it seems dual channel DDR3 memory kits are getting all the love these days. Maybe it’s the popularity of Intel’s LGA1156 platform, offering better value than the flagship Socket 1366 platform. But we also know that triple channel memory kits are the big dogs on the block, running exclusively on the Intel LGA1366 racetrack. They come with performance teeth but also hefty price tags for the most part. But if you want the best, they’re the choice.

Everywhere we look, we see manufacturers releasing memory modules that push stratospheric speeds. While this may garner the most hype, we know that most consumers aren’t in that budget bracket, instead needing something more affordable for their wallet. But we don’t want to compromise performance, now do we? Finding a higher performance memory kit that looks great and won’t break the bank can be a challenge with so many kits out there.

Today we’re looking looking at a set of memory modules that may just fit the balance between performance and budget. The ADATA Gaming V2.0 6GB DDR3-1600 modules, which are priced very attractively and sport some sleek heatspreaders. But what about performance and value for our money?

Let’s find out if these ADATA Gaming V2.0 sticks have what it takes.
