Lamptron Flexlight Multi Simple and Multi Programmable RGB LED Strips Review

Introduction What is the point of filling a computer with the fanciest of technological achievement if a random passerby can’t view the inside of your case? Windows do nothing if the room isn’t well lit. The solution? LIGHTS! *crackling knees* Back in my day we used cathode case lights to brighten up our insides, with ONE color! But this is the future, and we have rainbows. Lamptron has bright and colorful LEDs to fill your darkened spaces in your PC cases. How do they perform? Let’s find out. First we’ll shed some light on the company: Lamptron develops and markets the next generation of high performance computer peripherals using the latest technology that enables a new level of interaction between the end-user and their personal computer. Quick, simple, I like it. Time to find out if it’s true.

MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X Video Card Review

Introduction Wow! It feels like the hardware landscape is full of yin and yang. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a light or dark side, but there seems to be several instances of competitive battles being fought by only two sides. I’ll let you decide if Nvidia is yin or yang in this case, but we’re bringing that big green logo into the spotlight for a review of their GTX 1060. Once again, this is a card targeting mid-range budgets, but the effort to bring high quality gameplay to the masses feels a bit stronger in recent years than it has in the past. We’ll have to see how Nvidia stacks up here soon. Nvidia may be targeting the mid range budget, but you wouldn’t know based on what MSI is doing with their design of the GTX 1060. The Gaming X looks like it takes the card to almost top-tier levels of design and quality before we even get to turn a PC on. I suppose that it could all be flare and the actual build quality could be less than it appears, but I seriously doubt that will be the case. I’ve owned a couple of MSI cards in the past that I really enjoyed so it will be great to see if MSI lives up to their reputation of the past and the internet. As a world leading gaming brand, MSI keeps raising the bar in design and innovation of its GAMING Series products and has been a long-term sponsor of global eSports teams. Outstanding teamwork of MSI’s senior R&D staff and professional gamers culminates in the creation of every MSI GAMIN...

Hound Advice: The Best Wireless Ethernet Adapter Setup for Gaming (…but on a budget)

I have a feeling we’ve all been there. We have a point where we think we just need to get a decent adapter and make due with a wireless connection. That lasts about 2 weeks, we realize we wasted money AGAIN, and we commit to running that Ethernet cable down the hall. But what if I told you that you actually could game on wireless? I don’t have any pills to offer, but I can give you an instructional video on how to get the best wireless signal that not only has pings nearly as good as wired, but also keeps a stable connection. As it turns out, the adapter is probably the weakest point. Check out the full video below in order to understand the concepts, or visit the description section on Youtube so you can get to the part you want. As always, head to the forums to start discussions and get answers to your pressing tech questions!

Aorus Radeon RX 580 & 570 Review

Introduction It’s time to get back into the graphics foray and we have the perfect head-to-head match up to start it. While top-of-the-line cards are great to drool over, the vast majority of users are squarely in a budget realm when shopping for a GPU upgrade (more on that in the conclusion, however). AMD decided to focus more on this sector of buyers when they released Polaris, the GPU found in their flagship RX 400 and 500 series cards. Needless to say, we need to see how they measure up in gaming performance to see if Radeon is succeeding in this bracket. We also have to point out another new thing that’s happened with Polaris. Gigabyte has been doing graphics cards for a while, but they recently switched a lot of their gaming components to their Aorus branding. It started with motherboards and Nvidia based GPUs, but now they’ve include the RX 500 series with the Aorus line as well. I’ve been a huge fan of the new designs under Aorus so let’s find out if their GPUs hold up just as well. GIGABYTE shares the same passion for gaming as all gamers. Therefore we have extended the premium gaming brand – AORUS, the pinnacle of our hardware excellence, to provide a full spectrum of innovative gaming products that deliver the ultimate performance and exemplify PC’s capability of bringing gamers unprecedented delights. We continue to participate in global gaming events, connect with the community and actively listening to gamers’ desires in ...
