STEELSERIES Launches Arctis Headset Line

You’ve been seeing a lot of STEELSERIES around the site lately. They were a company I hadn’t heard much about, but I’ve certainly grown to appreciate what they offer, especially since their Engine software works so brilliantly. Yesterday, they announced a new line of headsets that have several new features, but one detail really stood out to me. I’ve noticed that mid-range headsets seem to vary from sounding great, to sounding mostly good. The difference between the two categories is that stereo analog sets usually sound awesome, but as they begin upgrading to 7.1 surround, they begin losing some of that quality in music and movies. Even though the price points are really close, the audio is surprisingly different. The Arctis Headset line is going to have the same driver that’s used in the $300 high-range products. If this works out, STEELSERIES could really set themselves apart in the mid-range, but we’ll only know if we can get our ears in them first. Check out the full press release below for more details!
