Those of you who bought 4k monitors last year, this article might not be for you. Those of you who think you MAYBE can spend $200 tops for a good monitor, listen up. AMD has helped many of us budget gamers play modern titles at reasonable settings and frame rates. However, many of us are probably squeezing by with a cheap panel that has a basic 60 Hz refresh rate with the hope that the colors look decent. FreeSync is the dream, but is there anything affordable?

VIEWSONIC seems to be answering the call for gamers who don’t mind 1080p and the latest prices on Newegg are pretty fantastic. For $180 and two dollar shipping if you’re not in a hurry, you can get a FreeSync 27″ monitor. The thing is, while the panel is fairly new, the initial reviews are stellar. Out of the 7 total reviews across the three sizes, every one of them is 5 eggs. There is some minor complaints about the stand and speakers, but the quality meets the expectation for the amazing deal these panels are. The important part is that the panels seem to look great for gaming.

If you haven’t had a chance to dive into FreeSync, it might be a good time to look into it. If size isn’t a major factor for you, then the 21.5″ is a shocking $110! These are exceptional deals for budget gamers but there’s no way to tell if these prices are going to be around for very long. Check out the links below and find out if this is the final piece to your ultimate gaming experience.
