The perfect companion for business users
The myConnect E1759FWU provides mobile users with a dual monitor set-up in an instant. This way, business users are able to set up a comprehensive work environment when working outside the office. The monitors light weight of only 1.28 kilos as well as its super slim design make this monitor a perfect companion on business or leisure trips. Despite its great portability, the myConnect E1759FWU impresses with a 17.3″ (43.9 cm) screen which roughly equals the size of an A4 sheet of paper. Furthermore, the monitor simplifies many business situations as users can conveniently share information with customers on the additional screen. For ease of transport and for safe keeping of this ultra-portable lightweight display, a protective sleeve is included in the delivery.

Unprecedented level of multi-tasking
For even more convenience, the monitor stand can be rotated, so the monitor can easily alternate between landscape and portrait orientation (pivot) – useful for desk presentations, document viewing, texts or mail clients. When not in use, the monitor stand can be folded away neatly for practical storage. To make the handling of the myConnect E1759FWU even simpler, the monitor is equipped with intelligent software that eases the control of brightness, contrast and power settings. Due to the monitor’s USB connectivity, it is possible to hook up no less than six USB displays – allowing for an unprecedented level of multi-tasking for notebook users.

One cable for all functions
To avoid the inconvenience of having to carry around multiple cables, the myConnect E1759FWU monitor only requires one USB 3.0 cable for data transfer as well as power supply. This is made possible by the device’s very low energy consumption of 10 W only. At the same time the support of USB 3.0 which offers a data bandwidth of 5 GB, provides faster charging and outstanding picture quality.

The myConnect E1759FWU will be available as of November 2014 at an MSRP of £ 110.

AOC E1759FWU is NOT for portable use. Weighing at 4.3 lbs, this heavy portable display is best left at home. You do not want to be carrying around your laptop as well as this heavy display when traveling.

Secondly, this USB powered monitor is only for laptops. You can’t connect this monitor to other devices, such as game consoles or smartphones. There is another brand out there, GeChic, that uses HDMI connections.

Thirdly, the color and brightness of this monitor is somewhat lacking when I use it with my Macbook. It seems to be a bit washed out whenever I used the monitor.

I would challenge anyone else to find a better monitor out there- I would recommend GeChic Portable Monitors, but open to other suggestions.

AOC tried the cheap way to do this. It’s basically a low grade panel with plastic shell and a USB cable with displaylink tech. This is pretty heavy and bulky. ( but not sturdy enough….)

Mine broke after 2 weeks in my laptop bag. Glad I got to return it before the 30 days. I had a big laptop bag to lug it around as I thought this was the only option available…

I’m checking out what Andy suggested about Gechic monitors… right now it seems like what I needed. ( HDMI and light according to their website)

I will give that one a try instead.
