SANTA CLARA, Calif.—September 20, 2011— NVIDIA today opened registration for GeForce LAN 6, which was met with an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from PC gamers.

Just two hours after opening registration, seats for the highly-anticipated bring-your-own computer (BYOC) gaming area sold out, as gamers reserved their spots to play in the highly anticipated 64-person LAN featuring Battlefield 3.

A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for the event, which will be held Oct. 14-16, 2011, on the Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet, in Alameda, Calif., so gamers are encouraged to register quickly. To register, go to: www.geforcelan.com and click on the big registration button.

Expected to be the hottest gaming event this Fall, GeForce LAN 6 will feature 48 hours of non-stop PC gaming, fun contests, amazing prizes, and special stage presentations. In addition, gamers will be able to get their hands on three Battlefield 3 multiplayer maps that will be available for public play for the first time ever.

Event sponsors include: EVGA, Toshiba, Corsair, MSI, Zotac, Cooler Master, Cyberpower PC, Digital Storm, Plantronics, Systemax, V3 Gaming PC, ASUS, Antec, Falcon Northwest and Kingston Technology.
