17 February 2011,Taipei, Taiwan ? Genius, a leading manufacturer of computer peripherals, is introducing three exciting sets of portable speakers for mobile devices?the SP-i170, SP-i177, and SP-i300. All three speaker models boast the ability to resonate superb sound from all popular electronic devices, such as smart phones, MP3 players, tablet PCs, and notebooks. Easy-to-recharge, built-in batteries ensure that the sound goes on for hours?up to eight hours, in fact–with no interruptions. All three new speaker models are compact, easy to carry around, and come in a variety of lively colors.

The SP-i170, SP-i177, SP-i300 all feature GeniusLink technology, which allows users to link together similar Genius speakers to create a wonderful row of sound. No matter what type of portable technology device you have and whatever listening situation you are in – the office, home, school, or at a party ? you can enjoy great sound just about anywhere. All models offer convenient, USB-based battery charging, plus cables allow use right out of the box. Volume controls can be easily accessed on the units themselves, and all models come with a handy pouch.

?Portable devices have become the main source of music for many people, as well as tools for business and learning,? says Jeff Wang, U.S. Sales Manager of Genius. ?Our new line of speakers offer a sleek, flexible solution that can coincide with a variety of listening environments, and most importantly, crystal clear sound for all types of music and voice applications. An eight-hour battery life ensures that the party is never interrupted.?

The SP-i170 is compact, sleek and sporty and offers a 360-degree sound field. Its GeniusLink feature, standard on all three models, allows you to connect to other similar Genius speakers. It comes in four stunning colors: polished black, white, pink and blue.

The SP-i177 offers an advanced, D-class amplifier and a bigger, 40mm driver for deep bass. Like all of Genius’ new speaker models, charging is quick and easy via USB connection, and the audio goes uninterrupted for up to eight full hours. It comes in bright yellow or sky blue.

The SP-i300 works as both a speaker and portable music player. It can connect to an electronic device for super sound, or users can simply plug in a USB device full of their favorite MP3/WMA tunes to play. Track access and volume can be easily adjusted from the unit itself. This model is available in piano black or chick yellow.
