ASUS P55 Maximus III Spotted

The board takes its cues from the previous X38 and P45 Maximum boards, sporting crazy 19-phase power circuitry and four DDR3 DIMM slots (in dual channel) with its own 3-phase power. Continuing the sharp colour schemes that ASUS ROG boards have been known for, the Maximus III has a very cool looking set of heatsinks and matching colour package.

As has been the case with ROG boards, the board apparently has several ROG-exclusive features. The red PCI-Express x16 slots arrange as dual x8 slots when both are in use, and the third white slot is x4 electrically. The rear doesn’t seem to have any audio ports, so a SupremeFX audio card likely will be included (same as previous Maximus boards). The Maximus III is expected to launch sometime in Q3 2009.
