ASUS Displays Dual Socket 1366 Motherboard
Following the GPU Folders’ dream board with 7 PCIe slots, ASUS has turned their focus on the CPU horsepower fans. For those who dream of top bragging rights, but more realistically those who work with graphics, modelling, and renderings, ASUS looks to have answered those dreams. Announcing the first dual-socket LGA1366 motherboard, dubbed Z8NA-D6, the board is equipped with the Intel 5500 chipset and has two Xeon-ready LGA 1366 sockets, each with three DDR3 memory slots, one PCI-Express x16 and two PCIe x8 slots and 14 SATA ports.
The Z8NA-D6 doesn’t have a release date yet, but we’re sure we can hear the workstation folks pining for this already.
