Already implemented in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 and Google’s Chrome Beta, the stealthy browsing function will enable users to surf the web without having the visited URLs or any cookies saved. Moreover, Firefox 3.1’s private mode will remove all finished downloads from the download manager and won’t prompt the user about saving any password.
The privacy-enhanced Firefox 3.1 will be released either at the end of the year or in early 2009. The browser’s Beta 1 version is set for an October release.
