Dubbed RamOrb, the new memory module cooler weights 136 grams and consists of an aluminum heatsink and a 6mm copper heatpipe connected to a cute little 50mm fan.
The RamOrb fan has a life expectancy of 50,000 hours and although it works at 4500 RPM (rotations per minute), its maker claims it has a top noise output of just 20 dBA. Thermaltake should start shipping the RamOrb later this month. Hopefully a new version that is compatible with DDR3 modules will follow soon.
