In our reviews the Radeon HD 4870 was able to do very well and beat the more expensive Geforce GTX 260 several times. Fans of the Radeon series have to be patient for some time though, before the first AMD partner was able to deliver the first custom design HD 4870.

In addition to a full Gigabyte GDDR5 memory, the Powercolor HD 4870 PCS OC has an individual cooling system based on the Zerotherm model. This, according to the producer, works up to 20? Celsius better than AMD’s default system – regardless of the increased GPU clock speeds (800 MHz) that is.

Additional information can be found at Powercolor. Until now there is no officially confirmed information about price, release date or final clock speeds.
