The device is more curved and looks shinier than its predecessors, the buttons on its touchpad are metallic (with the metal extending to surround the touchpad itself), the power connector now lies on the right side, and the hinges are larger and have metal caps on either side. As far as connectivity options go, however, the machine remains pretty much identical to the Eee PC 900.

Interestingly, the Eee PC 901 bears no Asus branding, and the only logo to adorn the bottom of the display bezel is that of the Eee PC line. Blogeee.net says the branding change reflects Asus’ purported intent to make the Eee brand stand on its own.
