The heatsink was designed from the ground up, not only to implement the fan but to improve cooling overall. The heatsink uses a two-layer design and Apacer claims up to 70% better heat removal than conventional heatspreaders. Alas, the height could pose a problem for some.

Apacer has managed to keep the timings tight though, 7-7-7-20 at 1800MHz is more than acceptable when the operating voltage is set at 1.9V. Apacer has also launched a 1600MHz kit using the same heatsink and specifications, with the exception of lower frequency and operating voltage, 1.8V. The modules are sold in kits of 2x1GB and are covered by a lifetime warranty.
