AMD prepares GeForce Boost take-off

We’re not sure how much of a performance boost you’d get from a setup like this, but an extra boost for free is never wrong. Well, free is a relative term here, as we’re not sure how many people would consider this platform when it launches, as starting out with integrated graphics and then moving up to one and then two graphics cards seems like an odd concept.

Hang on, isn’t that what Nvidia is allowing you to do with the 780a chipset? Well, anyhow, the 790GX is limited to dual x8 bandwith per x16 slot, so it’s not meant to be a replacement for the 790FX chipset, but it might replace the 790X chipset in due time.

The first 790GX motherboards are expected to be on display at Computex in early June.
