Intel preparing lower clocked Yorkfield processor

With AMD getting ready to show and use most of its cards, including the B3 Phenom 9050 and 8050 series processors and the Athlon 6000s in Q2, Intel is finally getting some updated competition, especially in the sub-$300 segments, which are highly lucrative. To counter AMD’s products and their predicted low prices, Intel seems to be preparing the release of a new, lower-end Yorkfield processor.

Certainly a good chip to counter AMD’s low prices. The only question that remains is when and where can we get one?
