Radeon HD 3870 X2 benchmarked, pictured

Radeon HD 3870 is on display at CES in Las Vegas right now, but unfortunately looking is all you get. But as always when it comes to pre-launch information we can trust our fellow Asians to leak and post information about not yet launched products. This time it’s ITOCP, where a user has posted not only pictures of a bare R680 card, but also a 3DMark 06 run where the card scores 9573 points. Not very impressive until you realize that the system was running with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The card kept cool too, reaching only 60?C under load. The core was running at 770MHz and the 2x512MB memory at 2250MHz.

Unlike the previous shots we’ve seen, the one picture provided did show the board’s naked PCB. The pictures can be accessed here (via NordicHardware).
