Microsoft Windows Vista successor in H2 2009?

Posted January 21, 2008 by admin in News

The next version of Windows, currently codenamed (Blackcomb Vienna) looks to be scheduled for release in the second half of next year. The operating system originally was going to be released in 2010, but the latest roadmap from Microsoft gives an RTM date of H2 2009. “Milestone 1” has already been shipped to Microsoft Partners. If this is all true, it will end up meaning that Windows Vista is the company’s flagship operating system for 3 years, where as Windows XP was 5 years.
