On November 12 Nvidia will release the nForce 780i SLI chipset for Intel’s LGA775 processors which will come with support for the ‘old’ 1066 FSB Core 2 series, the 1333 FSB processors and the upcoming 45nm-build Yorkfield and Wolfdale CPUs. nForce 780i SLI powered boards will support DDR2 memory, will have three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots ready for Tri-SLI, two Gigabit Ethernet controllers and six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports. The C73 chipset will bring DDR3 support in Q1 2008. Not long now.
