Coupled with an Intel X6800 CPU and running Windows XP with SP2 and Catalyst 7.9, the Radeon HD 2900 Pro, clocked at 600 MHz core, 1600 MHz memory and with a 512-bit interface, managed to score 9579 points in 3DMark06. The 2900 Pro lost to the 320 MB GeForce 8800 GTS in F.E.A.R. but it was its equal in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and kicked green behind in the Nvidia-loving S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. Overall, the card seems to be quite a strong higher mid-range card that ends up being cheaper than the 320MB Nvidia marvel. Be afraid (Nvidia), be very afraid.
