No Vista service pack “anytime soon”
This comes shortly after rumours surfaced stating that the first public beta of Vista SP1 would go live earlier in the month. As ZDnet reported, “Word (from unnamed sources) is that Microsoft is gearing up to drop Vista SP1 some time the week of July 16.”
Microsoft now reports that “There will be a Windows Vista service pack and our current expectation is that a beta will be made available sometime this year.” It was also noted that only a “select” group of individuals will receive the early build.
With the beta not coming as early as we expected, it’s anyone’s guess as to when the first service pack will be released.
