While the 9.5″ PCB appears to be identical to the 512MB counter part the memory clock has risen to 2GHz (DDR) with a record 128 GB/s. Currently the only AIB to have announced a 1GB board is Diamond Multimedia.

The high-end next-generation graphics card, OcUK HD 2900 XT with 1GB of GDDR4 Memory. This 720 million-transistor monster clocks in at 740MHz with 1024MB GDDR4 memory at 2000MHz. It is built with 320 unified stream processors and the world’s first 512-bit memory interface to take on the demands of DirectX 10 games. The HD 2900 XT even comes with built-in HDMI for single HD display and audio connectivity.
