Cheaper iPhone in the works?
Shaw Wu, an American Technology Research analyst believes that cheaper iPhone models will help the phones overall success, much like that of the iPods – ?Apple needs to round out its iPhone product line at lower price points if it expects to replicate the success of its iPod with sales of 100 million units.? He also claims to have heard of lower cost iPhone prototypes being developed for release at an unspecified date.
He further said about the appeal of the Apple iPhone: ?We believe one overlooked advantage iPhone may have over other smartphones is that when making calls, its virtual dialer has no extra clutter, and it is likely easier to dial unprogrammed phone numbers than on fixed QWERTY keyboards.
With the roaring success of the iPod, one can’t deny that these rumors aren’t true – it just makes sense.
