As I’ve said numerous times in older stories, Santa Rosa offers many new unique features for the mobile market including, Dynamic Acceleration, which raises the clock speed of one processor core above the guaranteed frequency level when the other core has powered down. This feature is currently unknown to existing Centrino platforms.

There are five notebooks on offer from Asus all featuring GeForce Go 8000 series GPU’s. The top model features a 15.4″ (WXGA) display, Core 2 Duo processors ranging from the T7100 to the T7700, 2GB of DDR memory, GeForce Go 8600M with 512MB of dedicated video memory.

As we fall through Asus’s remaining four offerings screen sizes get smaller, GPU’s drop to the GeForce Go 8400M with dedicated memory as little as 128MB and processors get less beefy. All Asus’s new models come with a 2 year warranty and are expected to hit shelves in the coming weeks.
