PlayStation 3 European pricing

Snip: The president of Sony Computer Entertainment France and vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, George Fornay, is talking price when it comes to the PlayStation 3. In a radio show with France’s Europe 1, Fornay said that the PlayStation 3 will sell for between ?499 and ?599. Fornay acknowledged that the price may seem steep, but he emphasized that that price should be seen as inexpensive when one considers that the console will also play Blu-ray movies. Fornay also confirmed that Sony would be going for a simultaneous launch of the console in November of this year. Full Story @ ArsTechnica

ABIT AN8-32X nForce4 SLI x16 Motherboard @ PC Stats

Snip: ABIT’s back and it’s getting ready to give DFI, ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte a serious run for the money. It’s newest flagship Athlon64 motherboard is the ABIT AN8 32X, based upon the nForce4 SLI x16 chipset (nVidia C51D and CK804 SLI). As you know, the nForce4 SLI x16 chipset allows two nVIDIA PCI Express videocards to run in SLI mode with each card receiving the full 16 PCI Express lanes. There is no bandwidth sharing between SLI videocards with this particular nForce chipset. Full review @ PC Stats

Dell 2405FPW 24-inch wide-screen LCD @ Short-Media

Snip:? The overall picture can only be described as amazing. We all know how much trouble TFTs can have displaying the color black, but that is not the case with the 2405. The black tones are deep and strong and the colors are vivid and vibrant. My BFG 6800 Ultra OC was easily able to give this large LCD all it needed to perform at its best. Some of Dell?s older LCDs had problems with back lighting, but, again, this is not the case with the 2405. Dell has definitely corrected that problem here. LCD quality control is obviously doing their job correctly as well, because I have yet to find a dead pixel either. Full review @ Short-Media
