Microsoft denies Vista code changes

Microsoft has slammed?the article by Aussie technology website Smarthouse which claimed that sources within the company said as much as 60 percent of Vista’s code needed to be rewritten. "This is speculation with no demonstrable basis in fact. There aren’t any Xbox developers moving over to the Windows Vista team. Vista is feature complete, which means that the code writing process is basically over. The next phase of development focuses on security, testing and fit/finish – not writing new code," a Microsoft spokesperson told BetaNews. Of course, Microsoft would?say this, but without more evidence you cannot disprove?there position?either. Looks like we’ll all just have to wait and see if Vista hits retail in January.
